Location:

We normally take off from our launch field in Mount Gilead, OH. However, we will travel to another launch location of your choice for an additional charge of $5 per mile (one way distance). The mileage will be based on driving distance from our launch area in Mt. Gilead to your launch location.

Weight Restrictions:

Unfortunately, we can only take two passengers at a time with a total combined weight limit of approximately 400 lbs. When the outside temperatures are cooler (Spring, Fall, & morning flights), we may be able to accommodate a little more weight. We can sometimes squeeze in a third person, depending on the total weight and size of the passengers.

Waiver Forms:

Prior to flight, each passenger and crew member will be required to sign an Adult Release of Liability & Risk Assumption Agreement in addition to a Passenger Briefing Form. If a passenger is a minor (under the age of 18) a Minor Release of Liability and Risk Assumption Agreement will need to be signed by a parent or guardian. We recommend that you carefully read the appropriate form(s) above, print and sign a copy and bring them with you to the launch site. However, if you are unable to do this, we will provide copies for you to sign prior to take-off.

Availability:

Our hot air balloon rides are available by reservation seven days a week, May through October at sunrise and just before sunset. The actual start and end dates of our balloon flying season will depend on the seasonal weather changes. Check with us on this. If you have a specific date in mind, the earlier you schedule, the more likely it will be available. As a general rule, weekdays are less busy than weekends for making a reservation. We do accept last minute reservations if space is available.

The average flight covers about 3-10 miles and lasts about one hour. However, it may last a little longer until we are able to find a suitable landing site. Plan on approximately four hours for the total experience.

Weather:

High winds and/or inclement weather prevent us from flying. We will call to confirm your flight the evening prior to a morning flight, or the morning of the same day for an evening flight to verify that the forecasted weather conditions will be good for your flight.

Rescheduling:

Should your scheduled flight be cancelled due to the inclement weather, we will reschedule your flight for the next available flight date, as long as it is convenient with your schedule.
